The NY Knicks

The Knicks are my favorite team (sadly) even though I'd rather watch other clubs play. I know that there's no place like the Garden (except the Staples Center), so what can the Knicks Franchise do to get back on the right track!? I'm praying for improvement by 08-09 season at least.

  • I'm from NY, and to see the Knicks struggle like this is killing me. But I have to admit, who the hell brings Francis (even though he is a great player) to team up with Marbury. One of them's gotta go

  • For all the crap Isiah has done, he can save himself if he just makes one blockbuster deal that nabs Garnett. But that is highly unikely.

After next year, if the Knicks are still bad, that should be the end of Isiah. He's had too many chances. And his ever-changing plans have worn thin. A good GM has a clear long term plan and sticks to it. This guy trades away the "keys to the deals" which is the red flag of "I have no real plan."

But maybe Isiah just needed time to understand how to be a good GM, which is why he deserves one final chance. A lot of people who attack him seem to forget how horrible the team was that he inherited. He wasn't the one who created most of the terrible contracts that he had to deal with. But the way he chose to deal with them is questionable.

The Knicks now have had 2 gms in a row who don't mind having a team with horrible contracts. Maybe they should start thinking about hiring a GM with a different philosophy.

By the way, Larry Brown was not the problem on this team last year. The problem was the guy who acted like an ass/baby and did things like take 2 shots in a game and say, "I'm just doing what coach wanted me to do."

  • Powerful thoughts,i actually have to agree with you in what you say about Brown not being the problem, he is ofcourse almost a legendary coach.
Snagging K.G. would be pretty cool too though lol
